Job summary

Teems Fabrication seeks a Senior Project Manager/Estimator to guide metal fabrication projects from inquiry through delivery. The role demands strong reading of drawings, pricing accuracy, and collaboration with engineering and production to optimize manufacturing methods.

The candidate should have 5+ years in metal fabrication or related fields, with experience in welding, materials, and ERP/MRP systems. This on-site position offers growth within a growing manufacturer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, estimating, or project management.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of welding, fabrication processes, and materials.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and job costing.

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs, drawings, specs, and scope of work.
• Develop accurate estimates for fabricated components, weldments, assemblies, and related work.
• Determine material, labor hours, welding, machining, and other costs.
• Obtain and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing.
• Collaborate with engineering and production for efficient manufacturing approaches.
• Identify potential fabrication, machining, and quality issues during estimating.
• Prepare and submit professional customer quotations.
• Manage awarded projects from order to completion.
• Establish project schedules and coordinate with production, purchasing, engineering, and quality.
• Monitor costs, labor, materials, and schedule performance.
• Communicate project status, changes, and delivery schedules with customers.
• Manage change orders and communicate impacts.
• Track projects to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Assist with resolving production issues affecting cost, quality, or delivery.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and costing information.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and identify opportunities for additional business.
