Job summary

U.S. Engineering - Metalworks is seeking a Project Engineer to organize and manage work using an in-house platform, gather data, and assist estimating.

The role emphasizes productivity, quality, and safety in manufacturing operations with knowledge of design, fabrication, and manufacturing methods. Responsibilities include learning LEAN processes, supporting safety and quality events, and helping resolve facility and project challenges.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
• 1+ years of job-related experience.
• General knowledge of commercial/industrial mechanical systems, fabrication, and installation.

Responsibilities

• Project organization requires clear communication and interpretation of project information for processing to provide timely, accurate data to Metalworks team members.
• Estimating: use standard labor tables to generate labor estimates based on rates and target productivity; identify and price non-standard activities.
• Safety and quality programs participation and support for other Metalworks roles.
• Facility support: assist leadership in researching and solving operational challenges with the facility and grounds.
• Possess knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques and apply problem-solving to improve operations.
