Job summary

Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater West in Pomona, CA seeks a Scientist I in the Metals department. This full-time role includes routine preparation and analysis of water samples using EPA/Standard Methods, data recording, and instrument maintenance. Overtime and weekend duties are possible to support labor needs.

Minimum BS/BA in chemistry or related field with 1–2 years lab experience. ICP-OES/MS experience is preferred. Location: Pomona, California, 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in chemistry or related science field.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience.
• ICP-OES and ICP-MS experience preferred.
• Overtime including weekends may be required.
• Excellent math and computer skills.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and good organization.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Routine sample preparation and analysis of water samples per EPA/Standard Methods.
• Data processing, entry, and documentation.
• Routine instrument maintenance and reagent preparation.
• Perform other general laboratory duties as assigned.
• Occasional late shifts and weekend duties may be required.
