Job summary

Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater West in Pomona, CA is a leading water testing laboratory serving municipal and Federal customers. A Scientist I in the Metals department at the Pomona Laboratory is a full-time, 40-hour per week position.

Duties include routine sample preparation and analysis of water samples by EPA and Standard Methods, data processing and documentation, and routine instrument maintenance, with regular late shifts and weekend duties. Pay range is $22.20–$25 per hour (DOE).

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in chemistry or related science field.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience.
• Must be able to work overtime including weekends.
• Excellent math and computer skills.
• Excellent written and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Routine sample preparation and analysis of water samples by EPA/Standard Methods procedures.
• Performing data processing and data entry and written documentation.
• Performing routine instrument maintenance.
• Preparation of reagents and standards.
• Other general laboratory related duties as assigned.
• Will include regular late shift and/or weekend duties.
