Job summary

Eurofins Drinking Water and Wastewater West in Pomona, CA is seeking a Scientist I in the GCMS department to perform routine sample preparation and analysis of water samples.

This is a full-time position (40 hrs/week) with regular late shifts and/or weekend duties. The compensation range is $22.20–$27.00/hr DOE, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, and PTO.

Qualifications

• BS degree in chemistry or related field; 1–2 years of lab experience.
• 1–2 years GC or GCMS ChemStation experience preferred.
• Able to work overtime including weekends.
• Strong math and computer skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and good organization; work well independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Routine sample preparation and analysis of water samples by EPA/Standard Methods.
• Data processing and data entry; maintain written documentation.
• Routine instrument maintenance and reagent preparation.
• Support general lab duties as assigned.
• Occasional late shift and weekend duties.
