Job summary

EMJ is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to promote and maintain sales by originating leads, performing sales over phone or email, and handling inquiries. You will sell fabricated and non-fabricated steel, manage customer relationships, process orders, and coordinate with operations and Test Reports.

The position offers a quarterly incentive program, a guaranteed $2,000 per quarter for the first year, and comprehensive benefits including health, 401(k) with match, life and disability

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent education/experience blend.
• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sales principles, customer service, and metals industry.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Sell products to business and industrial establishments from the sales office.
• Maintain customer relationships and address issues for accounts.
• Grow business opportunities within customer accounts.
• Develop sales strategies and action plans for potential buyers.
• Develop new prospects and engage existing customers to increase sales.
• Respond to calls and emails; take and process orders.
• Determine pricing and delivery charges using systems and history.
• Coordinate with Test Reports for certification requirements.
• Resolve customer issues and discrepancies; maintain records.
• Make outbound follow-up and cold calls; highlight features.
