Job summary

EMJ, a leading metals distributor, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support existing accounts, develop new business, and ensure accurate order fulfillment. You’ll coordinate with operations and logistics to meet delivery timelines and maintain strong customer relationships.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years in inside sales or customer service in metals, with excellent communication and multitasking skills. Local Ohio candidates preferred for an on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of inside sales or customer service experience (industrial or metals preferred).
• Strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow customer accounts in manufacturing and industrial sectors.
• Respond to inbound calls and emails, prepare quotes, and process orders.
• Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure timely deliveries.
• Support certification requirements with the Test Reports Department.
• Make outbound follow-up calls and prospect new customers.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM and monitor customer satisfaction.
• Negotiate pricing and agreements within company guidelines.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and product knowledge.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to drive growth.
