Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies in Portland, OR is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer to provide analytical support and perform metallurgical testing to meet customer expectations in a timely and cost-effective manner.

The role requires working in a lab environment, conducting tests such as microhardness and microstructure evaluation, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with other departments. 1–2 years of experience preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in materials science engineering or metallurgy.
• 1–2 years of metallurgical experience.
• Experience with ASTM standards or scientific documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Work with metallurgical tools, equipment and instrumentation, including optical microscopes.
• Conduct a broad range of metallurgical tests (microhardness, microstructure, grain size).
• Maintain equipment, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource and coordinate inputs from other departments.
• Prepare timely, accurate reports following established specifications.
