Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies in Lansing, NY is seeking a Test Technician to join our manufacturing quality team. You will prepare and condition nonmetallic samples for mechanical testing, operate testing equipment, and document results.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree in a related field and 2–5 years of lab experience, knowledge of ASTM/ISO standards, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel. This full-time role offers benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Eng Tech or related field; 2–5 years in mechanical testing.
• Familiarity with ASTM/ISO testing standards preferred.
• Proficient in Excel and data entry; able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for mechanical testing.
• Operate universal testing machines, DMA analyzers, and hardness testers.
• Perform tensile, elongation, hardness, compression, shear, and flexural tests.
• Record and analyze data using lab software; maintain safety compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians; assist in reports and documentation.
