The role involves hands-on testing, data collection, report writing, and collaboration with customers while following safety procedures and maintaining lab equipment and skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in materials science/metallurgy or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in a materials testing or engineering lab environment.
• Familiar with metallurgical testing techniques and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high quality metallurgical testing evaluations using a variety of techniques.
• Coordinate input from other departments for testing and IMR report requirements.
• Write metallurgical evaluation reports accurately and timely.
• Communicate results and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Follow safe procedures and assist with customer tours as needed.
• Maintain metallurgical knowledge and stay current with field developments.
