Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of mechanical testing, corrosion science, aviation/aerospace, power generation, turbines, and failure analysis desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as-needed.
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct metallurgical, materials, and mechanical failure analyses.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute laboratory tests.
  • Conduct field inspections.
  • Review and interpret technical documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, clients, and staff.
  • Generate written work products (PowerPoint, technical reports).
  • Present results to technical and non-technical clients and staff.
  • Manage day-to-day requirements of multiple engagements.
