Job summary

Exponent Inc. is seeking a Metallurgical Engineer to join our Metallurgical and Corrosion Engineering Practice in Seattle, WA. In this role, you will conduct materials and metallurgical investigations, perform laboratory testing, and communicate results effectively to clients and staff.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science and strong skills in materials characterization. The position offers a competitive salary range of $135,000 to $155,000 annually.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in materials characterization techniques is required.
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the US, no immigration sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on failure analyses.
  • Materials characterization and metallurgical analysis.
  • Conducting field inspections.

Skills

Materials characterization techniques (metallography, SEM, EDS, FIB)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
