Job summary

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Completion of at least one year of coursework; graduation 2027 or later.
• Able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Proficiency in math and engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Create and interpret mechanical drawings using Ball’s standards and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Design and measure cans, bottles, tooling, and machine parts using advanced tools like laser micrometers.
• Troubleshoot container and equipment issues through hands-on analysis in both lab and manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate with the pilot line team to develop sample containers on the plant floor and test against performance specifications.
• Support project implementation, including equipment installation, check-out, and start-up.
• Generate technical reports and assist in updating specifications for containers and tooling.
• Attend professional development activities, including a professional development week at our corporate headquarters in Colorado.
