Job summary

PSW Group is seeking a Lab Technician in Chicago Heights, IL to join the Trialco Operations team. You will perform lab testing, optimize Optical Emission Spectrometry (OES) analyzers, and verify chemistries of produced alloys, incoming and outgoing materials.

Responsibilities include maintaining lab equipment, basic housekeeping, and collaborating with cross-department teams. A High School Diploma is required, with preference for 3+ years in manufacturing and a background in metal chemistry or

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience in a manufacturing operation.
• Professional communication skills.
• Three+ years of on-the-job experience.
• Working knowledge of metal chemistry, scrap handling and melt practices.
• BA in Engineering, Material Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Optimize spectrometers for measuring specific alloys.
• Determine alloy standards and reference materials.
• Verify chemistries of produced alloys and materials.
• Verify chemistries of incoming/outgoing materials.
• Maintain and verify lab equipment functionality.
• Basic lab housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
