Job summary

TPI Arcade LLC on the 2nd shift seeks detail-oriented workers to finish castings using grinders and hand tools, ensuring parts meet customer specs.

You will straighten castings, batch parts for sequencing, maintain grinders, and read simple technical documents while following safety rules in a team environment.

Work hours are Monday-Thursday with 1:30PM-12:00AM/1:00AM, with a $500 sign-on bonus and annual Safety & Attendance rewards, plus a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Straighten castings and finish grind to customer specifications.

• Perform minor maintenance on grinders (cleaning, replacing discs, belts).
• Learn to use various hand tools and read technical documents.
• Learn to read measuring instruments and follow posted standards.

Description

Are you detail oriented and good with finishing tools like pneumatic and electric hand tools - grinder, dynafile, etc.?

We're seeking individuals to be part of our 2nd shift Cleaning Room team.

• Schedule is Monday-Thursday 1:30PM-12:00AM/1:00AM 40-44 hours per week


• We offer a $500.00 sign-on bonus paid in two installments, plus a Safety & Attendance Reward Program up to $2,600 per year.

SUMMARY

To efficiently utilize the proper casting finishing practices and techniques which satisfy the customer and/or subsequent process operations. Involves grinding castings of advanced complexity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES

• Straightening castings and finish grinding casting to customer specifications.


• Sort castings into batches to be sequenced through the department.


• Work as part of a team towards producing Quality parts to production standards.


• Maintain tools and equipment in proper safe working condition.


• Perform minor maintenance on grinders - cleaning, replacing discs, belts, etc.


• Learn to use various hand tools.


• Learn to read technical documents.


• Learn to use various measuring instruments.


• Work to posted standards and instructions.


• Straighten, gauge and patch when necessary to meet specifications.


• Inspect parts to posted instructions.


• Learn gross casting defects and be able to identify them, informing the lead person or supervisor immediately.


• Follow all health and safety rules.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Physical Demands

This position requires constant standing for 8 - 12 hour shifts, pneumatic and electric powered hand tools and the ability to lift up to maximum of 50 lbs. consistently.

Working Conditions

The employee is exposed to an environment where hearing protection, eye safety, safety shoes and other personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. During warm & humid weather, employee is exposed to higher heat risks due to ambient temperature along with generated heat from equipment.
