Job summary

TPi Arcade, LLC is seeking a V Process Grinder to efficiently utilize casting finishing practices and techniques that satisfy the customer and subsequent process operations. Involves grinding castings of advanced complexity.

Working as part of a team, you will produce quality parts to production standards, maintain tools/equipment, and learn to read technical documents and use measuring instruments. Safety rules and duties are emphasized in this role.

• Sort castings into batches for sequencing.

• Perform minor maintenance on grinders; replace discs/belts.
• Learn to use various hand tools.
• Learn to read technical documents.
• Learn to use measuring instruments.
• Follow posted standards and instructions.
• Straighten, gauge and patch to meet specs.
• Inspect parts to posted instructions.
• Learn gross casting defects and report to lead or supervisor.
• Follow all health and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

• Straightening castings and finish grinding casting to customer specifications.
• Sort castings into batches to be sequenced through the department.
• Work as part of a team towards producing Quality parts to production standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper safe working condition.
• Perform minor maintenance on grinders cleaning, replacing discs, belts, etc.
• Learn to use various hand tools.
• Learn to read technical documents.
• Learn to use various measuring instruments.
• Work to posted standards and instructions.
• Straighten, gauge and patch when necessary to meet specifications.
• Inspect parts to posted instructions.
• Learn gross casting defects and be able to identify them, informing the lead person or supervisor immediately.
• Follow all health and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Physical Environment

Physical Demands

This position requires constant standing for 8 12 hour shifts, pneumatic and electric powered hand tools and the ability to lift up to maximum of 50 lbs. consistently.

Working Conditions

The employee is exposed to an environment where hearing protection, eye safety, safety shoes and other personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. During warm & humid weather, employee is exposed to higher heat risks due to ambient temperature along with generated heat from equipment
