Job summary

Crucial Link in Louisville, KY is seeking a Metal Finishing Technician to join our fast-paced metal department. You will polish, buff, and sand metal, shape pieces from instructions and drawings, and inspect finished work with careful attention to detail.

This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. Pay ranges from $17 to $21 per hour, based on experience and skill. Benefits include medical options, 401(k), PTO and paid holidays; note that overtime begins only after direct hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Must pass Pulmonary Function Test and drug screen.
• Physically able to lift over 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail with good English communication.
• Experience in ranch, autobody, or metal fabrication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Polish, buff, and sand metal pieces.
• Shape, create, and assemble new pieces.
• Read and follow drawings/instructions to shape pieces.
• Inspect pieces with strong attention to detail.
• Use measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Support other departments as needed.
