Job Description

Penndrill Manufacturing, Winchester Virginia Division, has an immediate opening for a highly qualified metal fabricator/equipment mechanic.

In this role, you will:

1. Build high-quality grout mixers, pumps, and cement silos.
2. Read and interpret engineering blueprints.
3. Fabricate and construct equipment per blueprints.
4. Measure and mark out material for cutting and bending.
5. Set up metalwork machinery including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, saws, and shears.
6. Weld using Mig and Tig techniques.
7. Grind and finish completed products.
8. Perform quality checks on finished products.
9. Complete job reports.
10. Conform with safety regulations.
11. Operate company vehicles, including heavy-load transport, regionally or nationally, based on business needs.
12. Assemble and test equipment.
13. Perform service and maintenance on rental equipment.

Additional duties may include:

1. Painting equipment and parts.
2. Cleaning and prepping rental equipment.
3. Pressure washing.
4. Assisting with shop maintenance.
5. Operating forklifts, cranes, and hand trucks.
6. Inventory cycle counts.

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Strong work ethic and career-driven attitude.
• Experience in metal fabricating.
• AWS certification or advanced welding experience (desired).
• Knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
• Mechanical inclination and ability to learn.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficiency with fabrication tools.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing systems and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license and DOT eligibility.
• Computer operation skills.

Environment:

• Work primarily in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, loud noises.
• Remain on feet for extended periods.
• Climb ladders and work overhead.
• Lift objects up to 75 lbs and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Use proper PPE.
• Travel may be required.
