Stratus Industries is looking for a dependable and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team! This hands-on role involves modifying and fabricating shipping containers as well as creating custom metal pieces like railings, furniture, doors, and more. The ideal candidate takes pride in high-quality craftsmanship, values safety, and enjoys tackling a wide range of fabrication projects. A collaborative, team-first attitude is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

• Modify shipping containers according to project drawings and specifications.
• Cut, weld, and fabricate.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and detailed work orders.
• Operate fabrication tools including plasma cutters, grinders, shears, saws, and MIG welders.
• Fit, tack, and assemble metal components with precision and attention to detail.
• Ensure all work meets company standards for safety, integrity, and appearance.
• Assist with moving and positioning containers and fabricated items as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace; perform basic maintenance on fabrication equipment.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other team members to complete projects on schedule.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in metal fabrication and welding.
• Proficient in MIG welding; TIG and Stick welding experience a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and measure accurately.
• Familiarity with construction techniques, steel properties, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds; capable of working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to producing quality work.

Skills:

• Experience fabricating custom steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and other metals.
• Forklift certification or experience operating heavy equipment.
