Job summary

Belvac is seeking a fabrication operator to run CNC laser cutting equipment, brake presses, and welding tools while adhering to safety and quality standards. You will read prints, verify layouts, and adjust programs as needed to produce conforming parts.

You will perform hand layout, deburr, and assist in finishing operations, with emphasis on maintaining machine integrity and following Belvac's Quality Management System.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC laser cutting machines, press brakes and welding equipment (MIG/TIG).
• Ability to read prints, shop orders and layout sheets to meet Belvac quality standards.
• Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting, press brake, MIG/TIG welders, roller, drill press, shear and band saw.
• Read laser g-code programs and compare with part drawings to prevent errors.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and communicate improvements to Manufacturing Engineering.
• Perform hand layout, deburr, and assist in sanding, grinding, and polishing as needed.
• Maintain machine(s) and document preventative maintenance per QMS.
