Job summary

MULTIVAC U.S. seeks a hands-on fabrication specialist to join our stainless steel fabrication team.

You will perform bending, welding, finishing, drilling, laser cutting and assembly to deliver components for our machine production line, and support R&D components for development programs. This role requires at least two years of metalworking experience, basic metrology skills, and familiarity with welding and fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of metalworking experience in cutting, welding, deburring, and finishing.
• Knowledge of metallurgy is a plus.
• Experience with machinery like press brake is a plus.
• Solid understanding of measuring and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Pull production orders, secure drawings, review BOM and confirm operations
• Determine necessary fixtures, tools and raw materials to produce components
• Perform the required fabrication/assembly and laser cutting work using published specifications
• Perform all testing, QC inspection, packing and transfer activities as required
• Complete required documentation at completion of activities
• Support the Manufacturing division
• Build fixtures and templates to support repetitive production
• Work with Engineering R&D on new development projects
• Perform maintenance on fabrication and machining equipment
• Maintain organized filing structure to adhere to departmental guidelines
• Maintain a safe and highly organized work area using established 5S practices
