Job summary

The Metabolomics Platform at The University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center supports basic, translational and clinical research with mass spectrometry-based metabolomics, lipidomics and isotope tracing. Under the Metabolomics Platform Director, the role covers sample prep, LC-MS, data processing, QC, method development and data interpretation.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related field is required.
• <2 years of related work experience.
• Experience with LC-MS sample preparation and operation of high‑resolution mass spectrometry.

Responsibilities

• Operates high‑resolution LC-MS instrumentation for metabolite and lipid profiling.
• Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of metabolites and lipids.
• Maintains detailed documentation of methods, results, and data workflows.
• Assists with development, validation and implementation of new methods.
