Job summary

The Metabolomics Platform at the University of Chicago Medical Center conducts advanced mass spectrometry–based metabolomics, lipidomics, and stable isotope tracing to support basic and translational cancer research.

Under the Metabolomics Platform Director, this role supports day-to-day operations, data processing, QC, method development, and interpretation of complex metabolomics datasets for publication-quality figures and reports.

Qualifications

• PhD in a related field.
• Less than 2 years of related work experience.
• Certifications: none specified.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-resolution LC-MS instrumentation for metabolite and lipid profiling.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of metabolites and lipids.
• Prepare calibration standards and reagents for LC-MS analyses.
• Maintain detailed documentation of methods, results, and data-processing workflows.
• Collaborate with investigators and platform staff to advance metabolomics workflows.
