Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking an RN Specialist for the Medical Emergency Team to lead proactive rounding, identify acute issues, and coordinate rapid response with the MET team. You will collaborate with bedside nurses, providers, and support staff to improve patient outcomes and reduce ICU transfers.

This night-shift role requires strong critical care skills, flexibility with weekend/holiday rotations, and commitment to patient-centered care within a world-class health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS and ACLS certification through the AHA or Red Cross.
• PALS required within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement processes for identifying patients needing critical assessment.
• Collaborate with MET team to activate rapid response and care plans.
• Participate as CRRC member/leader and present cases at meetings.
• Enter cases into quality data review tools and review events prior to emergencies.
• Provide education and training for nursing staff on code response roles.
• Round on inpatient units to discuss high-risk patients and issues.
• Support vascular access and assist with procedures as able.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

RN licensure (Current state)
