Job summary

JOST International is seeking a MES Technician to oversee MES systems across the plant, reporting to the Process Engineer. Beginner level, with responsibilities including data entry, SAP to MES updates and user management.

The role emphasizes maintenance of MES equipment, collaboration with production teams, and support for Lean initiatives, 5S, and continuous improvement to maximize uptime and process integrity.

Qualifications

• Proficient MES data handling: Part, BOM, Recipe, User, Group.
• Advanced Excel for spreadsheets, filters, graphs and data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with high attention to detail.
• Experience with SAP, Launch Pad and Simple Serial Utility.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental rules and JOST processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot MES issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor Squeaks and address inquiries to prevent escalation.
• Manage MES user accounts, permissions and work areas.
• Assist training of new employees and processes.
• Support weekly inventory, ensuring scanners, ribbons, labels stocked.
• Collaborate with production to report MES discrepancies to Inventory Control and supervisors.
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of MES equipment.
• Support Process Engineer with projects and Lean initiatives.
• Integrate new SAP parts and BOMs into MES.
• Occasionally cover shifts due to vacations and absences.
• Contribute to other duties inherent to the role.
