Job summary

Lonza in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our IT infrastructure, with emphasis on MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) integration and reliability across plant systems.

You will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, and MES platforms (Emerson Syncade, Kepware, OPC Router), scripting with PowerShell, and coordinate patches, validations, and incidents with production and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or network engineering.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and SQL Server.
• Experience with MES platforms and scripting (PowerShell/VB).
• Managing tools like Kepware, FactoryTalk, OPC Router, data historians, and DCOM/OPC setups.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across network and server environments.
• Administer MES platforms and integration points (Emerson Syncade, Kepware, OPC Router).
• Coordinate MES patching, upgrades, and system validation testing per change control.
• Serve as primary technical contact for MES incidents with production, automation, and quality teams.
• Maintain IT and regulatory standards, and document system setups and processes.
