Job summary

JOST International Corp. is seeking a MES Technician in Michigan to oversee MES-enabled production areas, perform data entry, and support SAP-to-MES BOM updates. The role emphasizes system integrity, user management, and routine maintenance to maximize uptime.

You will collaborate with the Process Engineer, assist in training, and help implement 5S and Lean initiatives while adapting to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Assist: Part, BOM, Recipe, User, Group, Instruction set, Cycle Time, Simple Serial.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel for spreadsheets, filters, and graphs.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a cohesive team.
• High attention to detail with accuracy (PPM 0).
• Advanced skillset with computers, printers, and related technology.
• Able to follow directions and show initiative.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with SAP, Launch Pad, Assist, Simple Serial Utility.
• Experience with JOST safety, environmental rules, quality procedures and processes.
• Understanding of JOST products, processes, and customer requirements.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Highly dependable with excellent attendance.
• Collaborate with Process Engineer to integrate updates and drive MES improvements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve MES issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor system inquiries and maintain MES system integrity.
• Manage user accounts and permissions in MES.
• Assist with training for new processes and employees.
• Support weekly inventory and ensure necessary supplies.
• Communicate production discrepancies to Inventory Control and supervisors.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on MES equipment.
• Support Process Engineer on projects and Lean/5S initiatives.
• Integrate new SAP parts and BOMs into MES.
• Occasionally cover shifts due to vacations or absences.
• Take on additional duties as needed for team success.
