Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing IT Specialist to administer MES and support WMS systems in a Forney, TX facility. You will troubleshoot production systems, coordinate upgrades, and collaborate with production and engineering to enhance processes through technology.

The role requires strong SQL development experience, ERP integration knowledge, and the ability to work onsite with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting manufacturing technology environments.
• Experience with MES such as Ignition, Plex, FactoryTalk, Siemens OpsCenter, or Apriso.
• Experience supporting WMS such as High Jump, Manhattan, or SAP EWM.
• Strong SQL database administration and development experience (SQL Server and/or MySQL).
• Experience integrating manufacturing and business systems, including ERP platforms.
• Understanding of PLCs and industrial automation concepts (Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens).
• ISA‑95 manufacturing architecture understanding; able to design and optimize manufacturing system concepts.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; able to collaborate across functions.
• Ability to work onsite with production, engineering, quality, supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and optimize MES.
• Support WMS and related supply chain applications.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing system issues impacting production operations.
• Coordinate software upgrades, patches, testing, and deployments.
• Partner with production and engineering teams to improve processes via technology enhancements.
• Support system integrations between manufacturing and business applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases supporting manufacturing operations.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and data integrations.
• Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and data validation processes.
• Ensure data integrity between ERP, MES, WMS, and other systems.
• Support production reporting, analytics, and operational performance initiatives.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and optimize system performance.
• Support manufacturing servers, applications, and shop-floor workstations.
• Monitor system performance and address issues to minimize downtime.
• Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Maintain documentation for manufacturing systems and interfaces.
• Provide on-call support for critical operations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
