TheraHaven Staffing LLC, a national staffing and recruiting firm, is recruiting on behalf of a confidential AmLaw 100 law firm for a full-time, on-site Mergers & Acquisitions Associate in New York, NY. The associate will join a busy New York M&A group with high levels of partner exposure and early responsibility.

You will represent Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, investment banks and others in domestic and cross-border deals across buy and sell sides, including acquisitions,

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with NY bar admission or waiver eligible
• 2–6 years of M&A and strategic transactions experience at a law firm
• Experience with domestic and cross-border transactions on buy and sell sides
• Strong understanding of complex corporate issues in M&A
• Excellent written and oral communication, research, and analytical skills
• Willingness to take on more responsibility

Role Description

TheraHaven is recruiting on behalf of a confidential AmLaw 100 law firm for a full-time, on-site Mergers & Acquisitions Associate in New York, NY. The firm is adding an associate to its New York M&A group, which has 21 partners and 10 associates. That ratio gives associates significant partner exposure and early responsibility.

The associate will represent Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, investment banks, and privately held companies in high-profile, complex mergers and acquisitions, including domestic and cross-border deals on both the buy side and the sell side. The work includes acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances, spin-offs, carve-outs, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and tender offers.

Compensation: $260,000–$365,000 base salary, depending on class year, plus an annual bonus with additional high-hours and merit awards.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school; class years 2020–2024
• 2–6 years of significant M&A and strategic transactions experience at a law firm
• Experience with domestic and cross-border transactions on both the buy side and the sell side
• Solid understanding of complex structural and corporate issues in M&A
• Excellent written and oral communication, research, and analytical skills
• Strong work ethic, client service focus, and interest in taking on more responsibility
• Admitted to the New York bar or eligible to waive in
