Job summary

Sam's Club in Bentonville, AR is seeking a senior merchandising leader to develop and execute category strategies for travel products. You will manage P&L, negotiate with suppliers, and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver profitable assortments and price leadership across channels.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and financial forecasting skills.

What you’ll do

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with long‑term business objectives, incorporating market trends and customer insights.

What you’ll bring

• Minimum 5 years of travel industry expertise with knowledge across a broad set of categories (e.g. Hotels, Flights, Packages, Wholesale, Rental Car, Transfers, Cruise, Tickets)
• Proven experience in category strategy development and execution for highly complex categories.
• Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership and forecasting.
• Expertise in supplier management and negotiation to drive price leadership and profitability.
• Ability to analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform decisions.
• Proficiency in assortment planning, promotional strategies, and ecommerce.
• Skilled in leveraging data and digital tools to influence strategic initiatives and improve efficiency.
• Effective decision‑making and project management skills aligned with business objectives.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00.

Additional Compensation Includes Annual Or Quarterly Performance Bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
