Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising or related field; 4 years' merchandising/financial planning/ops experience OR 6 years' related experience.

The (USA) Senior Merchant leads category strategy and financial management for complex product lines, driving customer-focused decisions across multiple channels. This role oversees supplier negotiations, pricing, and promotional strategies while managing a high-performing team to achieve business objectives. By leveraging data insights and collaborating cross-functionally, the Senior Merchant ensures alignment with company goals and delivers value through effective assortment, inventory, and channel strategies. The position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to execute strategic initiatives that enhance customer experience and support long-term growth.

The Connected Tech merchandising team is dedicated to delivering exceptional products, ecosystems, and services to customers. Collaborating with leading and innovative Consumer Electronics brands, the team curates a distinctive assortment that positions Walmart as a preferred destination. This team emphasizes strategic category management, supplier partnerships, and financial oversight to drive business success. Members leverage data insights and negotiation skills to optimize product offerings and pricing. Focused on operational excellence and team leadership, the group supports continuous improvement and effective execution of merchandising strategies across multiple channels.

What you'll bring:

• Proven expertise in category management with the ability to develop and execute complex category strategies.
• Strong financial management skills, including profit and loss ownership, forecasting, and budget development.
• Experience leading supplier negotiations and managing supplier relationships to drive price leadership and profitability.
• Demonstrated team management capabilities, including coaching, performance evaluation, and talent development.
• Ability to analyze customer behavior and market trends to inform merchandising and channel strategies.
• Proficiency in leveraging data analytics and digital tools to influence business decisions and optimize category performance.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising or related field and 4 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.OR 6 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area.

1 years’ supervisory experience.
