Job summary

Cart.com is seeking an experienced MoR Accountant to own end-to-end MoR accounting operations and ensure the integrity of payment processing, settlements, tax compliance, and financial reconciliations across multiple brands.

The role demands strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to scale controls in a fast-paced commerce environment. Candidates should have MoR or payments experience and be proficient with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of experience in payments operations, merchant services, accounting, or related field.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, settlements, merchant accounts, and financial controls.
• Hands-on experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience analyzing large datasets.
• Working knowledge of SQL and reporting or analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting and operational oversight of Merchant of Record activities across brands.
• Monitor and resolve payment exceptions, including settlements, holds, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Perform reconciliations between payment platforms, banking activity, GL, and ERP.
• Support month-end close, including journal entries and reporting.
• Ensure accurate sales tax collection, remittance, and reporting across jurisdictions.
• Develop, maintain, and improve MoR policies, procedures and internal controls.
