Job summary

Cart.com is seeking a Merchant of Record Accountant to own end-to-end MoR accounting operations across our brands. You will ensure accurate payment processing, settlements, tax compliance, reconciliations, and internal controls in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting or related field, 3–7 years in payments or finance, strong Excel and SQL skills, and a disciplined, detail-oriented mindset to scale our growing business while maintaining robust

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance or related field.
• 3–7 years of payments operations, merchant services, or related finance roles.
• Strong knowledge of payment processing, settlements, and tax compliance.
• Experience with reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Excel and database querying (SQL).

Responsibilities

• Own MoR accounting across supported brands.
• Review and approve high-value transactions and settlements.
• Monitor payment exceptions and resolve issues.
• Maintain transaction-level controls to prevent revenue leakage.
• Support tax compliance and financial reporting for MoR.
