Cart.com is seeking a highly detailed Merchant of Record Accountant to own MoR operations across branded payments, settlements, and tax compliance. You will ensure financial accuracy, manage reconciliations, and maintain strong internal controls in a fast-growing ecommerce environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and end-of-month close, plus advanced Excel and SQL skills.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
3–7 years of payments operations, merchant services, accounting, or related experience in e‑commerce or tech-enabled services.
Strong understanding of payment processing, settlements, merchant accounts, and financial controls.
Hands-on experience with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
Advanced Excel and large dataset analysis; working knowledge of SQL.

Mansioni

Own MoR accounting operations and oversight across supported brands.
Review, validate, and approve high-value transactions and settlements per thresholds and controls.
Monitor and resolve payment exceptions, including settlements, holds, chargebacks, and refunds.
Maintain strict transaction-level review processes to minimize errors and revenue leakage.
Coordinate with payment providers and internal teams on tax compliance, reporting, and controls.
