The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Massapequa, NY is seeking a Merchandise Manager to drive merchandising and operational execution across truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards.

You will ensure accurate pricing, timely promotions, and a customer-ready store environment through disciplined workload planning and inventory management. Responsibilities include leading SOP adherence, MOD coverage, truck and stock flow, in-store presentations, and Ship from Store

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, maintaining store conditions and results.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty (MOD) coverage and storefront leadership.
• Lead truck execution processes and ensure timely unloading and sorting of merchandise.
• Own workload planning and daily task prioritization with store leadership.
• Execute Store-In-Stock Optimization routines to drive in-stock levels and replenishment accuracy.
• Oversee Planogram (POG) execution and visual merchandising standards.
• Support a clean, organized, and customer-ready store environment.
• Manage inventory control, including stock movement and accuracy.
• Execute ad sets, pricing changes, and Ship from Store fulfillment.
• Process RTVs and ASN receiving with proper documentation.
• Manage shrink reduction and asset protection practices.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through TM onboarding.
