Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. In this role, you'll focus on merchandising and processing freight.

You'll assist with store functions, open/close procedures, asset protection, stockroom and floor maintenance, and monthly merchandising plans while delivering friendly service and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store and restrooms; restock as needed.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
