Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering engaging customer experiences. You will handle merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations to standards.

You will also help with stock management, policy adherence, and maintaining cleanliness and safety. This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentability
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective
• Plan and merchandise Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners
