Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Jonesboro, GA to join the Store Manager in leading a team and driving a positive shopping experience. You’ll focus on merchandising, processing freight, and daily store operations.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and high-energy teamwork, with responsibilities spanning opening/closing duties, asset protection, and maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process freight and manage merchandise needs per productivity standards.
• Ensure a clean, presentable store environment and positive interactions with customers and staff.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain display fixtures and monthly sales planners.
