Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Augusta, GA, to support the Store Manager in leading a team and driving merchandising and freight processes. You’ll handle opening/closing, asset protection, policy adherence, and daily store maintenance to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment.

You will also assist with freight flow, stock merchandise, and monthly planning while maintaining high energy, teamwork, and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
