Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager in Atlanta to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team of associates and creating positive experiences for the communities we serve. In this role, you’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight.

You’ll assist with store functions, open and close procedures, protect assets, maintain areas of the store to company standards, and carry out directives to keep the store sales-ready and customer-focused.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and restocking throughout the store.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
• Plan and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales items.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
