Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership, supporting the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for the communities we serve. The role focuses on merchandising and processing freight to keep the sales floor stocked and appealing.

You will handle opening and closing procedures, protect company assets, maintain clean stockrooms and floors, and execute corporate directives.

Qualifications

• prior retail and management experience preferred
• strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• physical ability to lift 30-50 lbs and be on the move in a store environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, including bathrooms and floors
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members
• Assist Store Manager with freight flow and merchandise planning
• Plan and merchandise monthly Sales Planners and Clip Strips/Power Panels
