Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering positive experiences for our communities. You’ll focus on merchandising and processing freight, supporting daily store operations, merchandising plans, and freight flow to meet productivity standards.

You will work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, collaborating with leaders and associates to maintain a clean, safe, and engaging store.

Qualifications

Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent movement and standing.

Responsibilities

Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Maintain areas of the store, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards.
Process corporate directives related to store activities.
Maintain cleanliness and restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors.
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
Assist Store Manager with duties as assigned, including freight and merchandising tasks.
