Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership, working with the Store Manager to guide a team, handle merchandising, and process freight to keep the sales floor stocked and inviting.

You will perform open/close procedures, protect assets, maintain store conditions, and execute monthly planners while delivering friendly, safe service to customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience required or preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Good interpersonal abilities and teamwork mindset.
• Physical stamina to lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including cash.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process freight receipts and manage merchandise flow.
• Plan, merchandise, and maintain monthly Sales Planners.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.
