Team Leadership
- Schedules Merchandising Service team and manages resources to ensure efficient project execution aligned with the overall Merchandising Service strategy.
- Guides Merchandising Service Associates (MSAs) on project priorities, scheduling, expectations, and needs (e.g., materials, supplies, time).
- Delivers onboarding and training, provides on-the-job coaching, and mentors MSAs.
- Coaches MSAs on performance and creates tailored development plans based on metrics and individual strengths, weaknesses, and needs.
- Handles disciplinary actions and partners proactively with HR.
- Manages project, travel, display, fixture expenses, and weekly payroll.
- Identifies and resolves project and store-level issues using available resources.
- Communicates project updates and feedback with store teams, field leaders, and corporate teams.
- Identifies opportunities for efficiency, merchandising, and display improvements to share across districts and regions.
- Leads team to merchandise live goods in garden centers.
- Leads teams ranging from 11-21 people.
- Collaborates with Field Project Managers on large third-party labor projects when needed.
Customer Service
- Provides excellent customer service by executing Lowe’s customer service policies and programs.
- Engages with customers to understand needs and assists with locating, demonstrating, selecting, and loading merchandise.
- Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through store areas and projects.
- Expresses sincere appreciation to customers.
- Provides information on stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
- Supports team members who assist customers by providing necessary tools and resources.
- Leads daily price change execution, audits, and updates price labels inside and outside the store.
In-stock Management
- Ensures merchandise is stocked, fronted, and fully packed according to planogram standards.
- Verifies accuracy of signage, reorder stickers, pricing, and product information.
- Ensures product displays, resets, and bay integrity efforts meet Lowe’s specifications, planograms, and safety standards.
- Collaborates with receiving departments to improve staging processes for resets and support materials.
- Leads efforts for buyback items, ensuring they are prepared and shipped properly.
- Oversees proper processing of damaged products.
Store Cleanliness and Safety
- Detects signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks, communicating promptly with management or Asset Protection.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of store and work areas according to standards (e.g., Zone Recovery).
- Ensures a safe work environment by conducting safety reviews, noting hazards, and securing areas.
- Adheres to safety requirements, including use of safety devices and equipment.
- Operates store equipment as needed based on specific roles.
- Maintains point-of-sale signage and ensures price updates are activated.
- Follows state-specific guidelines on price changes (Pricing Policy SF-06).
