Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering everyday value to communities we serve. You will focus on merchandising and processing freight that keeps shelves stocked and appealing for customers.

You will assist with opening/closing, protect assets, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies. You’ll also manage stockroom upkeep, assist with DSD receipts, and coordinate monthly sales planning with

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including restrooms.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist with receipt/return of merchandise and freight flow.
• Order and stock merchandise needs, including frozen/refrigerated.
• Maintain sales floor effectiveness; plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
