Dollar Tree is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and optimizing merchandising and freight processing. The role emphasizes strong communication, operational excellence, and customer focus in a fast-paced store setting.

You will assist with duties across store operations, maintain sales-floor standards, and help implement monthly sales plans while ensuring a safe and friendly environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs., with other physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, and trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
