Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team, assisting the Store Manager in guiding a dynamic team and delivering positive customer experiences while focusing on merchandising and freight processing.

This role requires retail and management experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You will support opening/closing, asset protection, and store maintenance.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process directives related to store activities.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including restrooms.
• Maintain positive, safe interactions with customers and staff.
• Assist the Store Manager with duties such as freight processing, stocking, and planning.
