Job summary

Dollar Tree in Broadview, IL is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team, helping the Store Manager guide a dynamic group of associates and deliver strong merchandising and freight processing.

You will assist with opening/closing, maintain store standards, and ensure safe, friendly customer experiences, while coordinating with leadership to stock, plan, and present merchandise.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Assist Store Manager with duties as assigned.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow according to productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise including frozen & refrigerated items.
• Ensure the sales floor is productive and merchandise is well-presented.
• Plan and maintain display fixtures and monthly Sales Planners.
