Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and driving merchandising and freight processing. You will help with opening/closing, asset protection, and maintaining store standards.

The role emphasizes a safe, fast-paced environment, strong communication, and teamwork. You will assist with freight flow, stock needs, and monthly planning, contributing to a friendly shopping experience for the community.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and be able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, push and pull.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with customers, associates and leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.
