Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading a dynamic team and delivering a great shopping experience. You’ll focus on merchandising, freight processing, and daily store operations.

Join a fast-paced environment where you’ll train and mentor associates, ensure safety and policy compliance, and help plan monthly sales efforts to optimize in-store presentation and inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle physical tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including restrooms and floors.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Process receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock merchandise needs.
• Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective and merchandise accordingly.
• Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
